Common Questions

Can I share the templates with my group?

Yes. Upload the spreadsheet to Google Sheets and share it, or print the planner template for everyone.

Why are there no example prices?

Fares, packages and fees change constantly and differ by ship and date. Example prices would be out of date quickly and could mislead, so every figure comes from your own quotes.

Does the budget calculator save my numbers?

No. It runs in your browser and sends nothing anywhere. Copy the results into your spreadsheet if you want to keep them.

Is a cruise line app a replacement for these templates?

Line apps are great for booking packages and seeing the daily programme once you are booked. These templates help earlier, when you are still comparing options across lines.

What is the best cruise itinerary template for a family?

The one on this site works well: add a column per family member for kids’ club times or separate excursions.

Can I add my own rows to the cruise planning spreadsheet?

Of course. Common additions are travel to the airport, pet care or house-sitting at home, and a row for celebrations such as an anniversary dinner.

How many options should I compare?

Two or three is usually enough. More than that and the differences blur; if you have a long list, ask an advisor to narrow it first.

Is the itinerary template useful for river cruises too?

Yes. River ships often dock in town centres, so the tender column will usually be empty, but the rest of the layout works the same way.

What is the difference between the planner template and the worksheet?

The planner template lists decisions for the whole trip. The worksheet is for a single port day and works out how many hours you really have ashore.

Do the templates work on a phone?

The pages work on any screen, and the CSV files open in the Google Sheets or Excel phone apps. For filling in lots of detail, a laptop or tablet is more comfortable.

How often are the templates updated?

Whenever a practical improvement comes along. Because they hold no prices, they do not go out of date when fares or fees change.

Can an advisor fill in the spreadsheet for me?

Yes. Send the sailings you are considering, and our cruise advisors at Mister Cruise will return written quotes with the details each column needs.

How the Tools Fit Together

Start with the cruise planning spreadsheet to choose between sailings. Use the budget calculator to check the winner’s full cost. After booking, work through the planner template for every decision, then fill the itinerary template day by day, using the port day worksheet to size each visit ashore. Five tools, one trip, no guesswork.

Suggestions Welcome

If a column or row would make one of these templates more useful for your kind of trip, mention it on the quote form. We keep the tools simple, but practical improvements from real cruisers are always worth adding.
